Stainless Steel Testing Column

A medical industry client came to G. Tanury Plating Co. in need of electro-polishing of a stainless steel testing column assembly. The assembly was comprised of 5 components that needed to have the same finish once completed. The column was to be used within drug testing equipment therefore it must be free of any residues from the process. We performed rack electro-polishing on the column, removing .0001" -.0002" from the O.D. For the process we used a variety of top-of-the-line equipment, including a degreaser, an electro-cleaner, an electro-polishing tank, and finally a conveyor oven dryer.

The completed assembly made of stainless steel, measured 3.5". We performed a full range of tests on the column, including micrometer measurements before and after the electro-polishing process, as well as visual inspection under the microscope. Upon delivery of the finished product to Rhode Island, the customer was highly satisfied with our services.
