Specification Rhodium Plating of a Trigger Assembly for the Medical Industry
A customer in the medical industry came to G. Tanury Plating Co. in need of nickel and rhodium plating of a trigger assembly. The part was made of hollow brass components soldered together and required polishing prior to being plated. We applied rack bright watts nickel plating, rack rhodium plating, after thoroughly cleaning, and copper plating the assembly. A wide range of processes and equipment were used throughout the plating and cleaning of the product.
product measured 6" long. The rhodium plating measured 4µ" and
the nickel plating measured 50µ". Upon completion of the
plating and cleaning, we used x-ray fluorescence to determine final
thickness of the nickel and rhodium as well as bend tests to assure
proper adhesion of the deposits. Once the products were completed and
tested, we shipped them to Pennsylvania. The customer was extremely
satisfied with our services.
